Purpose
of the FISH-A-THON:
To provide an outlet for local civic groups and charities wherever based, to raise monies for their organizations.
All non-profit groups are eligible, including
charities, bass clubs, civic groups, volunteer fire departments, and churches etc.
The organization will select a team leader who
MUST turn in the combined pledge slip with the total of all pledges on Friday at the Tournament registration, located at Rains
County Fair Ground in Emory, TX, 5pm - 8pm, May 29, 2009.
A drawing will be held on Friday evening at the
fair grounds for team placement for Sundays final. Sunday’s finalist will be based on the top 5 teams from Saturday.
Saturday’s top 5 teams will be fishing
for the charities on Sunday. Tournament times on Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st are from 6:00am
to 2:00pm. The weigh in line will close at 2:00pm each day.
In the event a team finishes with a weight less
than 30 pounds a minimum weight of 30 pounds will be calculated toward your pledge.
On the final day of the tournament, the pounds
of all fish caught per team will be recorded to our Live Charity Board at the tournament site. Final results of places will
be made official after all teams have reported in. Team Leaders MUST be present
to win.
Combined pledge slips will be returned to all
team leaders at the end of the tournament.
A plaque will be awarded on Sunday after the
tournament to the top five finishers of the FISH-A-THON. The official results of the pledges will be published in the newspaper,”Rains
County Leader”.
Each team member is responsible for collecting
their pledge money and turning it into their team leader.
Validation Procedures for Collection of Tournament
Awarded Prize Money: The Charity Name, copy of all pledge sheets, address, and phone number, along with a receipt from the
Charity must be mailed to the Tournament Secretary, 3021 CR1165, Brashear, TX 75420.
